Takes place in the third grade with Dave, Sollux, John, and Karkat.

"Hold up, superstar!" your best friend, Lily called from behind you. You smiled at her. It was the first day of school and you were so happy to see a familiar face.

"Thank God, Lily. All these feels are getting to me." you laughed. Both of you made your way to your new class. "Ready?" Lily said with a grin with her hand on the handle

You came to your wimpy instincts. "NO! Oh my God, what was I thinking?! I can't go in there!" you whimpered. Lily sighed. "Again?"

Everyone knew that little ________ __________ was a train wreck when it came to being in front of new people or crowds. You pushed a strand of (h/c) hair out of your face.

Lily's expression toughened as she began to rant to you. "_______ _________, I hope you know this is not a good thing. People are staring!!" You immediately regained your mind.

"Come on, _______, we have school for the rest of our lives. You can't do this every year!"

"You're right! Next year, I'll make sure to be homeschooled."

Lily groaned. "That's it. We're going in." And with that, she snatched your wrist and pushed open the door. About sixteen children were in there, no teacher.

"The teacher's not even here yet!" Lily hissed in your ear. Lily decided to sit in the front row, being a star student, while you sunk in the back.

"__________?" a familiar voice whispered next to you. You looked next to you and there was a boy with outward pointing jet black hair and red and blue lenses on his glasses.

"Sollux," you groaned. Sollux snickered. "Karkat'th here thoo." You rolled your eyes and hit your head on the desk.

"Relaxth. There'th thsomeone I want you tho meet." he said. You eyed the empty chair next to you. "Oh, God. There's more?!"

At precisely that moment, the door handle clicked and the door opened. Sollux snickered evily as he watched the door open and a figure step in.

"Sollux," you said. A boy walked into the room. He had soft looking blond hair, pale complexion, black Wayferers, and a record long sleeve. The mysterious boy took the empty seat next to you.

"Hey Dave," Sollux said.

"Yo, Sollux. Who's she?" Dave asked.

"That'th __________ ___________."

"Charmed," you said with sarcasm.

"I think you'll like eath other." Sollux suggested.

"You will die," you said darkly to Sollux.

*~Dave's POV~*




Oh my gosh, Dave thought. Who was that girl? Sollux was right. Dave liked her from the start. But, how was he supposed to tell her?

Part of the Striders' personalities is to show very little emotion, never take off your shades, and remain cool at all times.

Dave didn't want to lose her. He consoled to Karkat, since he'd known _________ ever since kindergarten.

"Oh, her. Yeah." Karkat said while munching on a burrito at lunch. "Every motherfucker in the class has a fucking crush on her. I suggest you better be careful, asshole."

"Careful?" Dave said, cocking an eyebrow.

Karkat rolled his eyes. "YES! FUCKING CAREFUL! Dibshits fight over her, you know."

Dave sighed. "Not surprised."

Then, a tray clattered next to Dave and Karkat. "Hey Karkat!" ________ greeted.

"Wassup, motherfucker?"

"Fine, how are you?" she said while mixing her salad.

Dave couldn't believe it. She was actually unfazed by Karkat's dirty mouth. Now THAT was a girl. He could feel an ever so slight blush appearing on his cheeks.

NO! Striders never blushed. That was if they weren't in love. DAMMIT! Dave thought.

_______ giggled as she looked at Dave. "What?" he said. "Do you always wear those glasses?" she said with a giddy smile. "Asshole never takes it off," Karkat said with a full mouth.

"Fascinating..." _________ said with a  hint of sarcasm. Her face suddenly turned dark.

"Take them off."

"NO!!" Dave hollered.

She had a coy smile on her face. "Don't worry, Dave. I'll get you at recess." she said as she got up to discard her lunch.

"Bitch means it," Karkat said with a look.

Dave gulped. ________ made him nervous enough. Now she's a lethal assassin?

Dave raced onto the field just outside the cafeteria. He looked around. No sign of ________. "Phew" he said.

That was until a force tackled him. It was on his back, which made Dave go on the ground. "Oh great," he said when he saw ________. She pinned him down and snatched his glasses off.

He could hear Sollux and Karkat evily snicker from behind. "Go get that asshole, _______!" Karkat cheered. Dave's red eyes were exposed to ________.

"You've had your fun, my turn." Dave growled. He flipped ________ off him and then pinned her down.

She just smiled. Dave took the moment to lock eyes with ___________. He never noticed how truly (e/c) they were.

"Beautiful eyes there, __________." Dave said with a smile.

She blushed. "I'd say the same to you cool kid,"

Sollux watched _______ and Dave with amazement. Karkat muttered, "Matesprites..."

Sollux raised an eyebrow. "KK, did you have a teeny crush on _______?" he said coyly. Karat's eyes widened. "W-what? No no no NO." he said blushing furiously.

John appeared form behind and asked cluelessly, "Umm, something I missed?"
